JAKARTA, Indonesia and Germany to build strategic alliances in eight areas of cooperation expressed in the form of Jakarta Declaration.
President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono hoped that the comprehensive partnership Jakarta Declaration can be done both Indonesia and Germany in the future.
"Indonesia as a priority and a proposal for future cooperation," said Yudhoyono, accompanied by Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Dorothea Merkel in a joint press conference at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday (10/7/2012).
Jakarta Declaration consists of five main priority areas and three areas of additional programs.
For the five main priority areas are:
"Indonesia as a priority and a proposal for future cooperation," said Yudhoyono, accompanied by Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Dorothea Merkel in a joint press conference at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday (10/7/2012).
Jakarta Declaration consists of five main priority areas and three areas of additional programs.
For the five main priority areas are:
- economy, especially investment and trade.
- health.
- education.
- research and technology.
- military and defense.
Indonesia's President explained that Indonesia and German trade transactions from 2010 to 2011 rose by 11% by value of nearly U.S. $ 7 billion. Indonesia and Germany will do even more in the future.
While for three additional fields, a proposal from Indonesia, are:
- agriculture and food security.
- renewable energy, including environmental and energy security.
- transport, including sea transport.
Indonesia appreciates the response of the positive chancellor Angela Merkel, in an effort to discover who will carry out concrete cooperation in the coming year.
In the same occasion, Merkel said a lot of fields that can be done between Indonesia and Germany. "Many of the fields we want to work together closely." (*)
