IMF get loan from Indonesia amount U.S.$ 1 billion

JAKARTA: Managing Director International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Legarde a visit to Jakarta on July 8 to 10, and will talk about plans for loans to be provided by Indonesia for IMF.

Legarde first vice president will meet at the Vice Presidential Palace on Monday (9/7). Legarde just met President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Tuesday (10/7).

The arrival of managing director of the IMF to Indonesia to talk about plans for the loan to Indonesia's monetary institutions.

Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa said Indonesia will contribute to the IMF, as an aid in overcoming the global economic crisis.

"The point is to help the world economy is experiencing difficulties. If the world economy in trouble, all the difficult part. Shrinking trade volumes, we disrupted exports. This we attempt to provide support to the global economy," said Hatta at the Presidential Palace on Friday (6/7/2012).

Earlier, Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo said Indonesia is likely to disburse loans up to U.S.$ 1 billion to the IMF.

Hatta continued arrival of the IMF to Indonesia should be seen as something different from the first moment of crisis in 1998. Currently, Indonesia as a member of the G20 position is different, no longer a creditor.

"Once we as a debtor, now we have no debt," he said.

Hatta said the IMF when it's needed cash injection of around U.S. $ 430 billion to assist countries experiencing difficulties in Europe, and Africa.

If Indonesia is to be a loan, Hatta said there will be a number as requested. For instance, loan funds not only for the interests of the country's crisis in Europe, but also to help poor countries in Africa. (*)
