JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) provide $ 2.1 billion for the acceleration of a number of gas projects being built in all parts of Indonesia.
Hari Karyuliarto, Director of Pertamina Gas, said there are at least 10 projects undertaken gas company until 2017. The project is divided into 3 major design gas infrastructure development, namely the development of an integrated gas infrastructure Sumatra, Java and eastern Indonesia.
"We were right up gas pipeline Gresik-Semarang [Gresem], Cirebon-Semarang [Cisem], mini LNG development in Kalimantan and eastern Indonesia, including the revitalization of Arun refinery facilities," he said at the Head Office Pertamina, Jakarta, Monday (12/8 / 2013).
Hari explain that the distribution of gas is still constrained by the limited infrastructure. In fact, the gas reserves in the country is very large and able to meet the needs of domestic consumers.
This is what makes state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that precede the development of gas infrastructure projects.
Pertamina, said Hari, are not too concerned about the funding to run the project. Because the gas project is a project that has a fairly high rate of return in accordance with its specified requirements.
"For a good project that never runs out of funds, whether it is self-funding or bank loans. But if the project is ugly, it will not always be available funds, "he said.
According to him, the gas reserves in the marginal field in Java sufficient to meet the needs of industrial, electrical, and transportation.
"The gas from marginal gas field in Java it unfortunately that just burned. Though perfectly adequate for the needs of the industrial sector, electricity, and transportation, "he said. (*)
