JAKARTA-The Government of Indonesia by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) offers 15 new blocks of oil and gas to the Russian businessman.
The offer was made during the course of Moscow International Oil and Gas Exhibition (MIOGE) 2013 that took place in Moscow, Russia, on 25-28 June 2013 last.
Secretariat of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Hufron Asrofi explained that Indonesia's participation in the exhibition is to provide information on investment opportunities in oil and gas exploration and production in Indonesia.
"On the other side of the exhibition will be attracting investors from overseas oil and gas industry, in particular Russia," said Hufron as quoted from the pages of the Cabinet Secretariat in Jakarta, Tuesday (07/02/2013).
Ambassador of Indonesia for Russia, Djauhari Oratmangun, adding, Russia is one of the major players in the energy sector and the oil and gas world. Indonesia is considered necessary to continue to push for Russian entrepreneurs can get involved in oil and gas exploration projects in Indonesia.
Indonesia's participation in the activities, among others, to introduce 15 new oil and gas blocks offered through auction of Phase I in 2013. The government offered the blocks through schemes Production Sharing Contract (PSC), with certain conditions.
New oil and gas blocks offered located in scattered locations, such as in South Sumatera, Java Sea, South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Maluku Tenggara Water and Aru Sea, as well as the Bird's Head of Papua.
The blocks include New Palmerah block, block Sakti, blocks I and II South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi blocks I and II, South Aru blocks and blocks of the Bird's Head.
MIOGE are regular events held every two years and is supported by the Russian Federation Ministry of Energy. In addition to being a promotional event products in the oil and gas sector, the event is also a meeting place for decision makers working in the field of oil and gas both from Russia and abroad.
In 2013, the event theme of Russia's Oil and Gas Industry: New Field, New Alliances, New Technologies. This event was attended by around 1,000 participants from 40 countries, consisting of representatives of companies in academia and government representatives in the oil and gas sector.(*)
