Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin officially became President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2019-2024. Jokowi and Ma'ruf officially assumed the role of president and vice-president after being inaugurated in the event which took place at the MPR Building on Sunday (10/20/2019).
Before being inaugurated, Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin read the oath as President and Vice President for the period 2019-2024. Then, Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin signed the minutes of the inauguration. The signing was witnessed by 10 MPR leaders. Next, it was the turn of the MPR Chair Bambang Soesatyo who signed the minutes of the inauguration. Nine deputy chairmen of the MPR also signed the minutes of inauguration. Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin became the president and vice-president elected after winning the Presidential Election or the 2019 Presidential Election, with 55.50% of the votes.
