To Supply Electricity Needs Outside Java
JAKARTA - PLN plans to hire 10 plant from private investors for several regions outside of Java. This is to anticipate the growth in electricity demand is higher.
Senior Manager Corporate Communications PLN, Bambang Dwiyanto in his written statement stating the investor can simply provide a power plant and operate the power plant. Meanwhile, PLN will provide land, including the operational preparation plant, coal fuel supply, transmission and prepare purchase electric energy generated.
He said the purpose of this partnership to reduce fuel use and replacing oil with coal-fired power plant. In addition, also to anticipate delays in the construction and operation of a number of independent power projects.
He hopes that many investors are interested to cooperate with PLN in providing electricity supply to the community. It also supports development activities through a project of this power plant lease.
Seven rental projects that have already begun the process of bidding:
1. PLTU Tarahan, Lampung, 2 x (120-150) MW
2. PLTU NTB power plant, West Nusa Tenggara 4 x (25-30) MW
3. PLTU Timika, Papua 2 x 15 MW
4. PLTU Riau, Riau 2 x (120-150) MW
5. PLTU Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra 3 x (120-150) MW
6. PLTU Teluk Balikpapan, East Kalimantan 2 x (120-150) MW
7. PLTU Asam-Asam in South Kalimantan and 3 x (50-65) MW
Would follow three power plant project to begin the process of bidding:
1. PLTU Air Anyer, Bangka 2 x 30 MW
2. PLTU Barru, South Sulawesi, 2 x (120-150) MW
3. PLTU Amurang, North Sulawesi 2 x (25-30) MW
Bambang said the term of this cooperation is for 9 years and time of power plant takes about 20 months. (*)
