JAKARTA, PT Krakatau Steel Tbk is currently exploring a loan of U.S. $ 500-600 million. Money will be used for expansion projects, steel mills red plate.
"For three years we won a new loan of U.S. $ 500 million to U.S. $ 600 million. We hope the exsport credit agency. Terms of the loan they are pretty tight. We're still tender," said Finance Director of PT Krakatau Steel PT Sukandar, Wednesday (30/3/2011).
He said one of the projects to be financed loan is for a capacity of 120MW power plant and factory in Cilegon. Power plant is expected to take about one year. In addition, the company is working with the POSCO project.
Sukandar added, the company budgeted capital expenditure of Rp 3, 3 trillion in 2011. Company's consolidated revenue target of Rp18 trillion and net profit of Rp1, 3 trillion in 2011.
As is known, Tbk PT Krakatau Steel is also planning to build blast furnish in 2013. Capacity is expected to reach 1.25 million tons with an investment of U.S. $ 500 million. Previously Tbk PT Krakatau Steel to build also with Posco last furnish with capacity of 3 million tons. Construction is expected to be completed in 2014. (*)
