Indonesia was built total of 84 projects amount US$ 56.5 billion

JAKARTA: A total of 84 infrastructure projects amount Rp536 trillion or equivalent to US$ 56.5 billion, in MP3EI corridor will begin construction (groundbreaking) this year.

Revelation Utomo, Assistant Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, said the project will be worked by the state government, private, or through a government-private partnership (PPP).

"Funds required to achieve Rp536 trillion," he said Tuesday (13/3).

Wahyu Utomo said in addition to relying on state funds, state, and private, the government will also make use of foreign funds into Indonesia for project Master Plan to Accelerate Economic Development and Expansion of Indonesia (MP3EI).

"Foreign trust to Indonesia are on the rise. Government will utilize the funds for infrastructure activities," he said.

Of 84 project that akan soon be built on 2012 it, 15 projects tilled the government, 20 projects by BUMN, 38 project by the private and 11 projects cooperation the government private.

By the end of 2012, which was groundbreaking project MP3EI reached 94 projects worth Rp490 trillion. (*)
