JAKARTA: The management of Sumitomo Corporation is committed to add new investments in the energy sector in Indonesia with a value of more than U.S. $ 10.1 billion.
Minister Jero Wacik said there are six key projects that will work on the giant Japanese companies in Indonesia in recent years.
The sixth project, the power plant in Central Java worth US2, 5 billion, geothermal in Raja Basa worth U.S. $ 650 million plant in Meulaboh worth U.S. $ 700 million, the project reservoirs of gas worth U.S. $ 4 billion power plant in the system interconnection of Java-Sumatra worth U.S. $ 1 billion, and coal power plants Indramayu U.S. $ 1.25 billion.
JeroWacik added that one more project of geothermal projects now being tendered to the precise value is not mentioned.
"Sumitomo has expressed commitment to the government during the inauguration of the Tanjung Jati plant in Jepara.
