Project 10.000 megawatts of electric power plant first phase targeted by PT PLN (Persero) for completion in 2013, and for 10 000 MW power project Phase II, construction of new construction will begin in late 2010.
Chairman of the Coordination Team for Accelerated Development of Yogo Pratomo said that after the entire project finished in 2013, will be able to reduce the use of fuel for electric generation up to Rp 36 trillion per year.
Yogo Pratomo, Chairman of the Executive Team Coordinating Team for Accelerated Development of Power Plant, explains at the Advancement Project Dissemination Phase I 10 000 MW and 10,000 MW Project Preparation Phase II, in Jakarta, Sunday (08/15/2010).
In the year 2009, PLN has completed construction of 600 MW Labuan plant.
For the year 2010, is expected selsai plant with a capacity of 1400 MW, ie:
1. Apex Power Plant of 315 MW unit 1,
2. Indramayu power plant unit 1 (330 MW), and
3. Suralaya (625 MW).
Generators located outside of Java, among others:
1. Power Plant 14 MW Tanjung Balai Karimun,
2. Bangka 30 MW Power Plant,
3. Amurang 25 MW Power Plant,
4. Kendari 20 MW Power Plant, and
5. Ende 14 MW Power Plant.
Thus, at the end of the 2010 execution of 10 000 MW of power projects already completed the first phase 2000 MW.
"Next year we plan to complete the 4,300 MW spread across five locations in Java and 12 locations outside Java. Thus from 37 locations planned in Phase I will finish 25 sites in 2011, "said Yogo.
Of the 37 projects, locations, 33 of which already has a contractor. Whereas the remaining four locations namely 300 MW power plant in East Kalimantan, Riau Power Plant 300 MW, 14 MW power plant in Papua, Maluku and 14 MW power plant has not had the contractor.
Yogo assess the existence of 10 000 MW of electricity supply project is the saving of fuel by PLN in the amount equivalent to approximately Rp60 billion per day in 2011. "Years later in 2012 to Rp20 trillion subsidy could be reduced. If measured up to the stage II construction project is completed then the savings could reach Rp70 trillion in 2016. Assuming fuel prices remain, "he said.
According to him, in 2011 the amount of generating capacity of 6300 MW will be completed. "It could be argued that two-thirds of the planned 10 000 MW power project could be completed in less than four and a half years. The remainder of 3700 MW will be completed next year, "he said. (*)
